Jackey Neyman Jones
I am an artist and often create from what is at hand, what is no longer useful from another perspective and things destined for destruction. I see detail and history and value in these things and add images and symbolism reflecting personal introspection, growth and understanding of the world around me. Through this journey of creation and the sharing of my deepest self, I find connection. Creating this work is like giving birth to something new, and I am honored when a piece is invited into another home where it is loved and understood.
I love teaching art and seeing people light up when they create and when they realize they can create. I teach children from age 11 and mixed classes with parents are always a great time. Most of the adult classes involve a cocktail or two and I have only two rules. We must be like kindergartners with cocktails in the way kindergartners know they are great all the time. This rule means you cannot be down on yourself in my class. It's all about fun. Second rule is more of a suggestion. "Try not to mix up your drink and your paint water". Contact me to set up your own painting class at your favorite venue or a private party in your home.
I began my first Faux Finish business in 1990 and have had the privilege to work in a great number of beautiful homes and businesses. I have had the opportunity to create any finish imaginable. My clients have an idea and make it a reality.
If you are interested in having me do a faux finish for you, please contact me at I am in Oregon in the Willamette Valley area.
I played the child in Manos The Hands of Fate. My dad was The Master and our dog was the doberman. More to come. Just building this site. You can find me on Facebook at Jackey Raye Neyman Jones and on the Manos The Hands of Fate Fan Club page too.
